About The Position
This private optometry office has been serving the Bay Area for over 50 years and continues to grow! They are seeking a full-time Optician with a proven track record in optical sales to join their outstanding team in San Jose, CA. The role involves providing exceptional customer service and eyewear sales support to patients in a fast-paced, multi-doctor practice. Responsibilities include accurately quoting and processing VSP and Eyemed insurance, guiding patients through frame and lens selection, ensuring precise fitting and adjustments of eyewear, and maintaining organized records and assisting with inventory management. The Optician will also collaborate with doctors and staff to deliver a seamless patient experience.
Requirements
- Relevant eye care experience (licensure not required)
- Strong knowledge of VSP and Eyemed insurance quoting and processing
- Positive attitude and great energy
- Commitment to providing exceptional client care and fostering a welcoming environment
- Strong work ethic
- Perfect attendance and punctuality
- Reliable transportation to and from the clinic
- Eagerness to learn and grow in their field
