Requirements
- Have an Ohio Optician Dispensing License
- Current and valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Responsibilities
- Works well with children and takes the initiative to explain frame styling and lens care.
- Follows ANSI optical standards and performs all measurements with accuracy and detail.
- Competently operates standard office equipment and demonstrates knowledge of scheduling and computer processing procedures, to include validating insurance eligibility prior to patient appt as well as vision billing.
- Responsible for the maintenance and disinfection of frames, keeping frame inventory up to date, clean and organized.
- Communicate with parents/guardians as needed for services being performed.
- Travels to all necessary schools and centers.
- Collects payment from patients which may include co-payments, sliding fee charges, NSF check charges, and collection payments.
