Full-Time Optician - CA - Stockton/Modesto
About The Position
Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking an Optician to support senior outpatient clinics in Central Valley California. This role is ideal for someone compassionate, reliable, and seeking a change from traditional retail optical settings. The Optician will provide quality vision care directly to senior citizens and underserved communities within a structured, mission-driven healthcare environment. Unlike high-volume retail models, CMC focuses on quality care, meaningful patient interaction, and strong support for providers and clinical teams. There may be opportunities for cross-training in audiology and podiatry.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as an Optician or Optometric Technician preferred
- Experience serving geriatric or senior populations preferred
- Strong understanding of OSHA and infection control standards
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required
- Able to lift and transport equipment, typically 25–50 pounds
- Must be able to pass a federal background check and drug screening
- Professional, punctual, and able to work independently
- A heart for serving seniors and underserved communities
Responsibilities
- Assist the optometrist with patient intake, visual screenings, and basic diagnostic testing
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients
- Assist with eyewear selection, adjustments, fittings, and basic repairs
- Set up, break down, and maintain portable optometry equipment
- Follow sterilization, safety, and infection control protocols
- Complete basic documentation, charting, and administrative tasks
- Represent CMC with professionalism, compassion, and reliability
