About The Position
IRIS The Visual Group is looking for an Optician or Sales Associate in Richmond, BC. At IRIS Optometrist & Opticians, we are committed to providing exceptional eye care, eyewear, and customer service. We are currently seeking a Sales Associate or Licensed Optician to join our busy and growing team at our Richmond location in Lansdowne Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with people, building relationships, and helping patients look and see their best.
Requirements
- Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in eyewear, fashion, and eye care
- Licensed Optician in British Columbia (or eligible for licensing)
- Experience with frame styling, lens recommendations, and eyewear dispensing
- Knowledge of ophthalmic products and services
- Strong customer service and sales abilities
- Ability to communicate in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English
Nice To Haves
- The ability to communicate in Cantonese and Mandarin is considered a significant asset.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients with frame and lens selections
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the patient journey
- Recommend eyewear solutions based on lifestyle, prescription, and visual needs
- Process sales transactions and assist with inventory management
- Adjust, repair, and fit eyewear (for licensed opticians and trained associates)
- Support clinic operations and maintain a professional retail environment
- Work collaboratively with optometrists and team members to deliver an outstanding patient experience
