About The Position
The Optician or Optician in Training will co-manage patients in conjunction with Optometry and Ophthalmology to provide the best in eye healthcare.
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Optician certification or working towards.
- Enroll in coursework to obtain Optician credentials.
- Keyboarding minimum of 50 WPM.
- Knowledge of 10 key.
- Ability to comprehend, retain and apply given information.
- Professional demeanor and excellent public relation skills.
- Must have excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to effectively calm patients and be able to deal with distressed and/or agitated patients.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in office procedures helpful.
