HILL VISION SERVICES is a busy ophthalmology practice with offices in the Lake St. Louis, Creve Coeur, MO and Glen Carbon, IL areas. Our team members are the backbone of our practice and are the ones who make the patient experience an amazing one. We are seeking a experienced Optician for our Creve Coeur and Lake St. Louis, MO offices that is hard-working and efficient, who can see the work that needs to be performed and complete all tasks efficiently.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Current optician license required
Two years of experience as an optician in a busy practice required
Proficient computer skills
Ability to problem solve
Detailed oriented
Working knowledge of post-operative Medicare, Medicare Replacement and Medicaid plans
Excellent communication skills, proper grammar and writing capability
Team-oriented
Self-directed, highly motivated, able to multi-task, work under pressure in a fast paced environment
Able to accurately and efficiently handle multiple projects at one time
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Caring, patient and friendly attitude
Familiar with all forms associated with the patient’s medical record (paper / electronic)
Familiar with the use and operation of optical software
Completely knowledgeable with lenses, frames and all optical supplies
Complete understanding of optical inventory
Outstanding sales ability
Wide-ranging knowledge applicable to eye care and current trends in eyewear
Experience in conflict resolution
