Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Clear communication and professionalism
- A commitment to learning and growing in your role
Nice To Haves
- Optical, healthcare, or customer service experience preferred
- Optician certification (preferred but not required)
- Experience with EHR systems is a plus
Responsibilities
- Help patients select frames and lenses that fit their needs and lifestyle
- Take precise measurements to ensure proper fit and vision correction
- Adjust, repair, and dispense eyewear
- Educate patients on lens options and proper care
- Manage optical inventory and coordinate orders
- Prepare patients for exams and assist the optometrist
- Perform preliminary vision testing (training provided as needed)
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms
- Accurately document patient information in the EHR
- Greet patients and create a welcoming environment
- Schedule appointments and manage clinic flow
- Answer phones and assist with patient inquiries
- Verify patient information while maintaining strict confidentiality
