About The Position

This position involves the setup and operation of machines for optical polishing, with a focus on inspecting flatness and finish. The role also includes metrology and documentation tasks. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and 2-3 years of experience in an optics background. This role requires attention to detail, strong interpersonal, teaming, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp. The work environment involves handling acetone and acetic acid and requires standing for long periods. Employees must follow site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards. Depending on location, this position may be responsible for maintaining ISO 9000, 9001, 14001, and/or other applicable standards.
