About The Position

This is a permanent, full-time position for an Optician / Customer Service Specialist in a retail client setting located in Santa Clara, CA. The role involves delivering excellent customer service, understanding customer needs, handling complaints, creating eyewear products, and maintaining a positive store environment. The specialist will also participate in staff meetings, train team members, and adjust/fit eyeglasses.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
At least 1 year of retail experience.
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and opening/closing shifts.
Strong verbal and written communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand and move around the sales floor or stockroom for most of the day.

Responsibilities

Deliver excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
Understand customer needs and respond to questions and concerns in a prompt and friendly manner.
Handle customer complaints professionally and take initiative to find appropriate solutions.
Create eyewear products with speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
Maintain a warm, friendly, and supportive store environment.
Participate in staff meetings to improve customer service, store operations, and sales performance.
Train and support less experienced team members and lead by example.
Adjust, fit, and assemble eyeglasses to meet each customer’s needs.
Promote high service standards and help exceed customer expectations.
