About The Position

FlexStaff is hiring an Optical Technician to join our client's team on a full-time direct hire basis. This is an entry-level, hands-on manufacturing position responsible for supporting the fabrication, assembly, inspection, and testing of precision optical components and products.

Requirements

  • Basic mechanical and optical assembly operations.
  • Cleaning, handling, inspection, and preparation of optical components.
  • Use of hand tools, precision tools, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Basic measurements and inspections using appropriate measurement equipment.
  • Identification and communication of defects, damage, or unusual conditions.
  • Maintenance of accurate production and inspection records.
  • Support of in-process and final inspection activities.
  • Maintenance of a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Adherence to all Quality, safety, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Willingness to learn and develop proficiency in additional optical manufacturing processes.
  • Collaboration with experienced Optical Technicians and Manufacturing personnel.
  • Assistance with troubleshooting and resolving basic manufacturing issues.
  • Meeting established production schedules while maintaining product quality.
  • Support of continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on manufacturing and assembly of precision optical components and products.
  • Follow work instructions, drawings, procedures, and established manufacturing processes.
  • Perform basic mechanical and optical assembly operations.
  • Clean, handle, inspect, and prepare optical components according to established procedures.
  • Use hand tools, precision tools, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform basic measurements and inspections using appropriate measurement equipment.
  • Identify and communicate defects, damage, or unusual conditions to the Lead Technician or Supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
  • Support in-process and final inspection activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all Quality, safety, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Learn and develop proficiency in additional optical manufacturing processes as training is completed.
  • Work closely with experienced Optical Technicians and Manufacturing personnel.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving basic manufacturing issues.
  • Meet established production schedules while maintaining product quality.
  • Support continuous improvement activities within the manufacturing area.
