About The Position
Exciting opportunity for a Full-Time or Part-Time Optical Sales Associate to join a multi-specialty/multi-location ophthalmology practice. This position requires excellent sales ability, friendly, caring personality, and flexibility. Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multitask. Travel between Norwell, Norwood, and Quincy offices required, and mileage reimbursement provided.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Strong customer service skills: communicator and listener.
- Dedicated to building patient relationships.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Awareness of and passion for current eye wear trends.
- Embrace new technology & change.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous customer service & retail experience.
- Previous optical experience desirable.
- Bilingual skills in Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Spanish, and/or Portuguese a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with frame and lens selection and education.
- Conducts measurements using appropriate optical tools and consults with Optician as needed.
- Check in all incoming orders to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Verify insurance eligibility and eyeglass/contact lens benefits.
- Collect payment for eyeglasses and contact lenses.
- Other duties as assigned by Optical Manager.
