The Retail Sales Associate, also known as a Retail Optician, will assist patients in selecting eyeglass frames, lenses, and lens coatings that best suit their needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience working in retail, customer service, or sales.
• Experience working in the optical industry is preferred but not required.
• Must demonstrate a high level of engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings to support effective communication and team alignment (for remote or hybrid roles).

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all patients.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions.
• Compute and process payment transactions/refunds.
• Process insurance claims efficiently.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products.
• Create and maintain patient files, following company and HIPAA policies.
• Assess and interpret patient's needs/wants.
• Take necessary measurements.
• Prepare work orders for the lab.
• Pull correct lenses according to work order specifications.
• Inspect the final product for accuracy.
• Adjust/repair damaged frames.
• Price, stock, and straighten merchandise.
