About The Position

Optical Manufacturing Equipment Reliability Technician Picture your first hour: you walk the production floor of a high-tech optical lab, check the status of surfacing and coating lines, and jump in to clear a fault on a polisher. By mid-morning, you’re executing a scheduled PM, calibrating sensors, and updating a work instruction. In the afternoon, you coach a teammate through a schematic, swap a faulty component, and verify the line is back in spec—keeping our eyewear and lens production moving without a hitch. What You’ll Do Install, maintain, and repair in-line manufacturing equipment across optical processing operations. Diagnose issues using meters and standard electronic test tools; interpret drawings, schematics, diagrams, prints, specs, manuals, and both written and verbal instructions. Replace failed parts, validate fixes, and return assets to service with minimal downtime. Author and update SOPs, work instructions, and maintenance standards. Inspect and service production/support assets leveraging mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum technologies. Guide and train peers; provide hands-on direction to individuals or small groups. All work is performed to established standards and in alignment with company policies and procedures, with regular, punctual attendance, openness to overtime, and flexibility to adjust schedules as needed. Requirements

• 1–2 years of maintenance experience in a production environment; optical processing exposure is a plus.
• Foundational mechanical and electrical skills.
• Familiarity with schematics; HVAC and/or welding experience preferred but not required.
• Solid basic math and computer literacy.
• Clear written and verbal communication; strong organization and attention to detail.
