What you’ll do Execute intermediate‑level PMs and repairs on conveyors, ovens, freezers, pumps, motors, and packaging systems. Troubleshoot electromechanical and pneumatic problems with minimal oversight. Own equipment changeovers to minimize downtime while meeting sanitation SOPs. Calibrate sensors, scales, and automated controls to protect quality targets. Record all work in the CMMS; surface repeat issues and emerging failures. Guide and mentor Maintenance Technician I colleagues. Coordinate with the parts room to maintain critical spare‑parts inventory. Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement actions. Systems and equipment you’ll touch Conveyors, ovens, freezers, baggers, wrappers, pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, and ammonia‑based systems. Packaging and palletizing equipment—calibration, diagnostics, and tuning. Plant utilities: compressed air and refrigeration. Quality and safety commitments Live out GMP, HACCP, and SQF requirements in every task. Use LOTO, confined‑space procedures, and PPE as non‑negotiables. Tool control: every tool accounted for, cleaned, and sanitized post‑job. Clothing discipline to prevent ingredient or allergen transfer. Familiarity with OSHA standards and food‑industry regulatory expectations. Partner with the Business Unit Manager and Quality Technical Manager to resolve quality, food safety, or compliance issues. Keep the site prepared for third‑party or customer audits. How you’ll work with others Collaborate closely with Production and Sanitation to ensure equipment readiness and reliability. Assist Production and Sanitation on customer‑complaint investigations. Keep maintenance areas and tools clean, organized, and inspection‑ready. Expect to perform preventive, predictive, and emergency repairs on your assigned line—and step into other duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
