Warby Parker is seeking a skilled Optical Manager to join their in-house Optical team. This role involves creating excellent customer experiences through professional expertise and product knowledge. The manager will lead a team of Opticians, provide customer consultations, and foster a positive work environment. Requirements

A licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license (or an ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states).
Have been in a management position for 2+ years.
A strong leader and mentor who exhibits model behavior, drives optical metrics, and adheres to strict optical standards.
Able to operate with a high sense of professionalism and open-mindedness when making decisions.
A clear and effective communicator.
Dedicated to going above-and-beyond to make customers and teammates happy.
Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks and responsibilities.
Not on the Office of Inspector General's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

Responsibilities

Work directly with customers to meet all of their eyewear needs.
Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with accuracy.
Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
Manage a team of Opticians through feedback, development conversations, and leading by example.
Uphold exceptional service standards and implement retail experience programs.
Report to the Store Leader to anticipate staffing needs and oversee Optician Apprentice Program participants.
Stay updated on HR policies and procedures to promote a productive and safe store culture.
Leverage company resources to increase employee engagement and job satisfaction.
Support general store systems, inventory databases, and business operations.
