About The Position

Warby Parker is seeking a skilled Optical Manager to join their in-house Optical team. This role involves using professional expertise and product knowledge to create exceptional customer experiences, assisting customers with their eyewear needs, and leading a team of Opticians. Requirements

• A licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license (or an ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states).
• Must have been in a management position for 2+ years.
• Strong leader and mentor with model behavior, driving optical metrics, and adhering to strict optical standards.
• Operates with a high sense of professionalism and open-mindedness.
• Clear and effective communicator, able to explain technical terms simply.
• Dedicated to going above-and-beyond for customers and teammates.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Not on the Office of Inspector General's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to meet all of their eyewear needs.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with accuracy.
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Manage a team of Opticians through feedback, development conversations, and leading by example.
• Uphold exceptional service standards and implement retail experience programs.
• Report to the Store Leader, assisting with staffing needs and overseeing Optician Apprentice Program participants.
• Stay updated on HR policies and procedures to promote a productive and safe culture.
• Support general store systems, inventory databases, and business operations.
