About The Position
An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Lab Technician to join a high-end, patient-focused private optical practice in Manhattan. This role is dedicated to lab work only and requires the ability to float between three locations in New York City (Manhattan area). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working in an optical lab, be detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
Requirements
- Prior experience as an optical lab technician required
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliability and flexibility to float between locations
- Professionalism and strong work ethic
Responsibilities
- Finish lab work only – edging, mounting, and assembling eyewear to prescription specifications
- Maintain lab equipment and ensure all tools are in proper working order
- Quality-check all finished eyewear for accuracy and craftsmanship
- Float between three practice locations as needed
- Maintain inventory and order lab supplies
- Ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards
