About The Position

CACI is seeking an Optical Engineer to support our customer at NSWC Crane. This role involves providing optical engineering support in the evaluation of prototype EO/IR hardware, including Color Day Camera (CDC), Midwave InfraRed (MWIR), Laser Range Finder (LRF), Short Wave InfraRed (SWIR), Low Wave InfraRed (LWIR), and other sensor technologies. The position will support initial capability evaluations including benchtop testing, laser evaluation, data collection and analysis, and generating test reports. Additionally, the role will support environmental qualification testing activities of prototype EO/IR hardware, including documentation of test plan requirements and test configurations, and assisting in environmental qualification testing activities for system level and LRU level tests for various sensor technologies.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working with Electro-Optic (EO), Infrared (IR), and Laser Technology programs.
  • Experience with business planning and project development.
  • Knowledge of government operating procedures and requirements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work and communicate at multiple levels from senior leadership to installation teams.

  • Experience working in DoD community.
  • If required, must be able to obtain & retain a government security clearance at the level required to perform the duties of the position
