About The Position

This position is responsible for the scheduling and resourcing of T-0 through transmission and substation long-range schedules for both PL and contractor work. The role involves scheduling all transmission and substation PES and failed equipment type work. Additionally, the position is responsible for communicating and coordinating with customers regarding plans and expectations for the completion of PES work. Key competencies for this position include a good working knowledge of transmission and substation systems and excellent communication and people skills.

Requirements

Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year for year basis.
5+ years of relevant experience in engineering, construction/operating assignments, field operations, resource scheduling or design.
Valid PA Driver's License

Nice To Haves

Minimum two years transmission & substation or utility line construction experience, work management and job planning experience and/or transmission & substation experience required.
Two-year technical degree or four year degree in business or planning.
Knowledge of the resource management, scheduling tools and reporting.
Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements.

Responsibilities

Directly responsible for the transmission and substation schedule and ensure all work is planned and ready for field implementation.
Schedule all PPL long range transmission & substation large project work for current and future years.
Makes resource determination of PL versus contractor crews for short and long-range transmission & substation work.
Conduct weekly work plan meetings to communicate priorities to foremen and planning coordinators and assure understanding of the status of current week and future weeks work.
Conduct weekly work plan meetings with Contractors and Planning Coordinators to communicate priorities and assure understanding of the status of current week.
Places long range TCC/SO permit requests for current and future years.
Participate in weekly switching call to define T-1 switching schedule.
Monitor transmission and substation budget for BI and large projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
