CEVA Logistics is seeking an Ops Supervisor II to oversee transportation and customs processes, providing customer service for shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products in accordance with federal and foreign regulations. This role involves developing and providing excellent customer service, supervising departmental activities, assisting in staff and customer retention and training, and conducting staff meetings to discuss improvements and new developments. The position also requires addressing employee performance issues promptly and directly, overseeing performance statistics, and reviewing shipment documentation for accuracy. The supervisor will examine documents like invoices and bills of lading to ensure compliance with regulations, compute duties and tariffs, and communicate with customs officials to resolve issues and obtain freight release. Additionally, the role involves establishing and monitoring policies and procedures for customs clearance operations, identifying areas of concern in client import/export processes, communicating progress and issues to the operations manager, and maintaining a flexible work schedule including on-call rotation. The supervisor will also participate in and/or supervise department projects.
