About The Position

Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park is looking for a self-motivated park service professional to fill an OPS Secretary Specialist position, providing visitor services and administration. The applicant must possess good visitor service and administrative skills. The applicant must be able to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position is 24 hours per week.

• work rotating schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• successfully complete background screening
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Compliance with the processing requirements of Chapter 215.422, F.S. is mandatory.
• The employees’ primary function is to provide excellent customer service as the first point of contact for the Florida State Park.
• Responsible for greeting visitors at the park office and entrance while providing information pertaining to the park and surrounding areas.
• Inform visitors of the park's features as well as any current and upcoming park activities and events.
• Collects fees for park entrance and annual passes.
• Operate a point-of-sale computer system; accurately collect, report and reconcile revenues received.
• Attend the Park gate to collect entry fees when needed.
• Performs other related duties as required.
