About The Position

Prepare clients for clinic visits by accurately recording height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, and medical history. Enter information into clients ELR. Support Provider/RN during patient care, treatments, and procedures; ensure equipment readiness and sterilization post-procedure Provides injections, immunizations, medications and education to clients Monitor and manage medical supplies to uphold seamless clinic operations. Performs in-house laboratory testing as needed; including Venipunctures, urinalysis, hemoglobin, and pregnancy tests as needed and completes laboratory specimen collection and prepares specimens for in-house or outside laboratory analysis; assists in labeling and processing specimens Assists in maintaining inventory of medical supplies, checks supply in lab, work-up area, and exam rooms daily. Maintains a clean and safe work environment by conducting routine checks of equipment and cleaning equipment in the lab, work-up area, and exam rooms.  Assist with referrals and follow-ups as needed. Cleans, sterilizes, and stores equipment/instruments after procedure. Monitors patient education material supplies and replenishes supply as needed before and during clinic sessions. Anticipates and communicates deficiencies with supervisor.  

Requirements

  • Knowledge of problem-solving techniques
  • Knowledge of professional nursing and public health principles, practices, and techniques in specialized areas
  • Knowledge of the theories and concepts of preventive health care
  • Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Knowledge of medical and/or public health field
  • Knowledge in use of medical equipment (glucometer, blood pressure monitoring devices, thermometer, scale, etc.)
  • Knowledge of multiple computer systems such as HMS, Florida Shots, Word, EXCEL, Outlook, etc.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Ability to follow instructions and take direction from management
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize workload, and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team

  • This position requires you to have and maintain a valid/active Florida Licensed Practical Nursing License or a multistate license from another Compact State (F.S. Reference: 464).
  • CPR certification
  • This position requires in-office work.
