About The Position

- Operate tractors and other agricultural equipment to apply fertilizer, plant,
cultivate, and harvest crops in field and grass areas.

- Apply fertilizers and pesticides in accordance with University of Florida and
regulatory guidelines.

- Assist with field water control systems and facilities maintenance activities.

- Operate, inspect, and maintain a variety of equipment, including tractors,
irrigation systems, and related machinery.

- Collect soil samples for testing and analysis.

- Operate University of Florida vehicles as required for work assignments.

- Lubricate, clean, and perform routine upkeep on vehicles, machinery,
equipment, instruments, tools, shop areas, and related workspaces using hand
tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.

- Work schedule of Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with availability to
work occasional weekends as needed.

- Perform required duties in outdoor environments with frequent exposure to hot
and humid weather conditions.

Requirements

• Valid Florida driver license.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma.
• Farm experience, including heavy equipment operation.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to lift at least 30 lbs. weight
• Must obtain pesticide license within 3 months of employment.
