About The Position

This position serves as an OPS Dental Hygienist on Flagler and St. Johns County's Dental Outreach program operating in Flagler and St. Johns County. This position offers a fun and exciting work environment that is also very rewarding. You will be an instrumental part of breaking down barriers that keep some children from receiving much needed dental care. This position works under the general supervision of the Operations and Management Consultant II in the dental outreach program and provides professional support and technical assistance to staff, community agencies and the public. This position will be assigned to the School Based Sealant Program providing preventative dental services for students inside elementary schools. This position could require travel between multiple work sites.

Requirements

• Must be willing to accept this salary if offered the position
• Must be willing to physically come in the office to perform the duties & responsibilities of the positions
• Must have current authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
• Must be currently licensed to practice Dental Hygiene
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Must have experience providing dental assessments
• Ability to lift 30lbs or more
• Ability to learn and communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in English

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children
• Computer knowledge (Outlook, HMS)
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish
• If you have been licensed to practice dental hygiene in any state for at least 10 years, you may be able to obtain a Limited Dental Hygiene license in Florida and practice dental hygiene for the Florida Department of Health.

Responsibilities

• Providing preventative dental services for students inside elementary schools.
• Providing professional support and technical assistance to staff, community agencies and the public.
• Completing and maintaining patients medical records.
• Providing instruction/education to patients in preventative dental health techniques.
