About The Position

This position is responsible for installing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting multiple computer systems for end-users, including hardware, software, and communications components of distributed systems. The role involves monitoring servers, analyzing and resolving hardware, software, and telecommunications issues, and maintaining inventory for FDOH-Nassau, including the sanitizing and disposal of distributed processing hardware and software. The specialist will also communicate regularly with users to assess functionality and determine computer resource needs.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Knowledge of Security systems
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to troubleshoot various systems (eg. Phone lines, computer, peripheral devises) and make recommended fixes.
  • IT Help Desk experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot computer devices and peripherals
  • Knowledge of Windows operating system.
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to learn and communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in English.

Responsibilities

  • Installing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting multiple computer systems for use by end-users, including hardware, software, and communications components of the distributed systems.
  • Monitors servers with appropriate software.
  • Analyze and resolve hardware, software and telecommunications issues using diagnostic software and/or technical trouble shooting processes.
  • Maintains all current inventory for FDOH-Nassau, including annual sanitizing and disposal of distributed processing hardware and software.
  • Communicates on a regular basis with users to assess hardware and software functionality and determines computer resource needs.
