About The Position
This is a paid training opportunity to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at the Clifford C. Sims, State Veterans' Nursing Home in Panama City, Florida. CNAs work closely with patients, assisting with daily living activities such as dressing, bathing, feeding, and monitoring vital signs in a long-term care facility. This program offers a chance to enter a growing career field with guaranteed employment after successful completion of the training and certification.
Requirements
- Able to attend class Monday - Friday during the training program.
- Willing to work the 7:00 pm - 7:00 am shift once the course is completed.
- Willing to work weekends and holidays as scheduled once the course is completed.
- Successful completion of the due diligence process, including a Level II background check and drug test.
Nice To Haves
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent or be at least 18 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Attend training classes Monday - Friday.
- Assist patients with dressing, bathing, and feeding.
- Observe and record vital signs.
- Register for CNA certification testing (clinical and written) within 45 days of graduation.
- Successfully pass CNA certification testing (clinical and written) within 120 days of graduation.
- Work the 7:00 pm - 7:00 am shift after completing the course.
- Work weekends and holidays as scheduled after completing the course.
