About The Position

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is seeking an Accountant III for their Finance and Budget Office in Tallahassee, Florida. This is an OPS (Other Personnel Services) position with a pay rate of $22.00 per hour, working up to 40 hours per week, and is subject to available funding. The FWC envisions a Florida where fish and wildlife are abundant and thriving in healthy and connected natural landscapes. Requirements

  • Two (2) years of bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative support experience.
  • An associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university can substitute for the required experience.
  • Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal history check (fingerprint-based) in accordance with Chapter 435, Florida Statutes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and mail billing invoices for Revenue Agreements and Contracts.
  • Monitor billing cycles for Revenue Agreements and Contracts.
  • Enter Revenue Agreements and Contracts into tracking system.
  • Maintain current copies of all Revenue Agreements and Contract along with Amendments.
  • Receive, open, prepare and scan all incoming mail.
  • Complete data entry in Laserfiche.
  • Prepare and return payments that are unable to process or deposit.
  • Enter and maintain the Return to Sender tracking log.
  • Prepare and processes refunds to external customers.
  • Prepare and scan completed deposits into Laserfiche document management system.
  • Complete training and attain proficiency in the Florida PALM accounting system.
