Physician, Ophthalmology - Glaucoma (Fremont & Pleasanton, CA)
About The Position
The Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group is seeking a BC/BE Ophthalmologist specializing in Glaucoma. This is a Full-Time 1.0 FTE position, with 75% of the time spent in Pleasanton, CA and 25% in Fremont, CA. The role involves joining a busy outpatient practice center that offers comprehensive vision care services, including general and pediatric ophthalmology, optometry, surgical/medical retina, cornea, lasik, oculoplastics, uveitis, and glaucoma. The position will primarily focus on treating Glaucoma patients, with Glaucoma and Cataract surgeries performed in onsite ambulatory surgery centers. There is potential for rapid practice growth by taking on existing patients and building referral networks. The full-time schedule includes 35 patient contact hours per week, averaging up to 30 patients per day. A light call rotation of approximately 1:6 is shared among colleagues, with no inpatient call required. The physician will receive excellent clinical and administrative support, with two technicians assigned per day.
