About The Position

Seeking a Board Certified Ophthalmologist to provide full-time locum tenens coverage for an ophthalmology clinic. The role involves seeing patients in clinic four days a week, managing a high volume of 30+ patients daily, and performing ophthalmic procedures one day per week. This position also includes participation in an on-call rotation (1:4) with minimal callback responsibilities. The clinic is equipped with advanced technology, including Heidelberg OCT, auto refractor, fundus camera, and visual field analyzer.

Requirements

Board Certified in Ophthalmology (BC)
Active WI license or willingness to obtain
BLS certification
Ability to perform non-surgical and surgical procedures including anterior and posterior segment, YAG, cataract removal (Phacoemulsification, Extracapsular Extraction, Intracapsular Extraction with intraocular lens Implant), Ultrasound Interpretation (A and B-Scan), Performance (B-Scan), Photos interpretation, Optical coherence tomography interpretation.

Responsibilities

Provide full-time locum tenens coverage for ophthalmology clinic, with a minimum commitment of one week at a time.
See patients in clinic 4 days per week, managing a high volume of 30+ patients per day.
Perform ophthalmic procedures one day per week, including YAG capsulotomy and other in-office procedures.
Participate in on-call rotation (1:4) with minimal callback responsibilities.
Utilize clinic equipment such as Heidelberg OCT, auto refractor, fundus camera, and visual field analyzer for patient diagnosis and treatment.
