Your referral could make all the difference! The Ophthalmologist specializes in diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases and disorders of the eye and visual system. Trained to manage a wide range of ocular conditions, the Ophthalmologist provides both medical and surgical care for the cornea, retina, lens, optic nerve, and surrounding eye structures. The scope of practice includes performing comprehensive eye exams, prescribing corrective lenses, administering medications, and conducting surgical procedures such as cataract removal, glaucoma treatment, retinal repair, and oculoplastic surgery. Special emphasis is placed on preserving and restoring vision, as well as managing chronic eye diseases through early detection and patient education. The Ophthalmologist provides patient care in both outpatient clinic and surgical settings.

Requirements

  • Wisconsin Medical License of M.D. or D.O. required.
  • Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Ophthalmology.
  • DEA certificate required.

Responsibilities
