About The Position

Coastal Eye Care is a 29-year-old, two-physician ophthalmology practice seeking to add a third physician. The role offers an established, high-volume clinic with a loyal referral network, an on-site Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), and immediate surgical volume. The practice utilizes cutting-edge technology and has an experienced team. There is no hospital or ER call required. This is an opportunity to build a practice within an existing framework. The position highlights include a full-time ophthalmology opportunity within a busy, community-anchored two-MD group practice. Over 10 cataract cases per week are available in year one, with a strong growth trajectory. Surgical scope includes cataract surgery, YAG, LPI, and SLT procedures. Fellowship-trained candidates in Glaucoma or Cornea will find unmet subspecialty demand and opportunities to expand those services. The practice features advanced technology such as iTrace, Zeiss OCT, Argos biometer, LAL IOL Light Delivery Device, ORA Wavetec, and full premium IOL capability. There are 10 exam rooms with experienced technical staff and dedicated scribe support. The ASC is located on-site in the same building. The schedule includes no hospital or emergency room call, and Friday afternoons are off.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
• Active Maine medical license or willingness to obtain upon offer
• All experience levels welcome, including fellowship-trained subspecialists

Responsibilities
