About The Position

Minnesota Eye Consultants (MEC) is hiring a full-time Ophthalmic Testing Assistant for its Bloomington clinic. The role supports clinical flow by performing visual field and OCT testing and assisting with patient workups and preliminary and diagnostic testing. The position is based at the Bloomington clinic, with shifts at the Minnetonka, Blaine, and Woodbury clinics as needed. The schedule is Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour. MEC describes its culture as focused on excellence, teamwork, and patient care. Requirements

At least six months of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Perform patient workups and preliminary and diagnostic testing, including visual acuity, patient history, lensometry when needed, and visual fields, according to established protocols.
Support efficient patient flow by monitoring schedules and identifying potential conflicts.
Notify the appropriate manager or designee about issues requiring resolution.
Maintain order in assigned work areas.
Participate in regular team meetings and report team progress to support effective team and interdepartmental communication.
Attend and participate in research project initiation meetings when requested.
Complete ongoing professional development training and skills development.
Perform other duties as assigned.
