About The Position
Perform preliminary screening examinations and tests to facilitate diagnosis and treatment by the provider. Possess and perform skills in ophthalmic testing as part of medical/surgical evaluation by physician. Support of clinic based, injection and minor surgical ophthalmic procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited ophthalmic technician program or equivalent experience
- Certified Ophthalmic Technician
- Extensive knowledge in ophthalmic pharmacology, refractometry, and general patient care
- Ability to perform advanced ophthalmic testing and procedures at a skilled level in accordance with COT certification
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Maintain necessary JCAHPO requirements for Certified Ophthalmic Technician re-certification
