About The Position
2020 On-site is a leader in mobile vision care, providing eye care services through Mobile Vision Clinics since 2014. They have expanded to offer clinical trial assessments and tests, bringing specialized Mobile Clinics directly to participants. Their core philosophy is "radical patient-centricity," aiming to minimize barriers to eye care. The company is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join their team. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Life Sciences and is ideal for someone looking to advance their career in a unique health tech startup. The Ophthalmic Technician will be a key patient-facing individual responsible for executing national, specialty life science projects on the mobile eye clinic. The role requires an organized, motivated self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage patient communications, and oversee the operational aspects of life science projects. Empathy and a caring demeanor are crucial for ensuring a positive patient experience, as this role is often the first point of contact.
Requirements
- Experience with patients in a clinic setting
- Ophthalmic testing/experience
- Experience in an optometry or ophthalmology setting
- A great communicator who enjoys helping people and is responsive to patient/client needs in a timely manner
- Curious about new subjects and interested in learning new things
- An adventurer who likes to drive and travel
- A dependable & organized team player
- Pays attention to the details and can capture that data in a way that maximizes a positive patient/client experience
- Manages tasks and responsibilities appropriately, prioritizing the most pressing needs
- Flexible to work outside of a typical Monday-Friday 9-5

Responsibilities
- Interface with patients to perform Ophthalmic testing utilizing cutting-edge equipment and technology to accurately assess vision, eye pressure, retinal imaging and more
- Drive our mobile clinic throughout different states where patients need access to care.
- Obtain and maintain necessary certifications for operating equipment onboard the mobile eye clinic
- Build reports and transmit data precisely, as instructed per each clinical protocol
- Communicate with patients and update them with pertinent information for their visit
- Enter data and transmit information to sponsors, PIs, and reading centers
- Ensure data is accurate, timely, and acceptable upon submission
- Travel 100% of the time
