Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures.
  • Ability to perform indirect activities, administrative tasks and any other assigned duties that contribute to the efficient & high-quality performance of the medical practice.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in data entry and typing.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Elevate patient care: Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
  • Master ophthalmic testing: Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.
  • Perform advanced diagnostics: Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
  • Assist in surgical procedures: Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
  • Streamline patient flow: Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
  • Administer eye drops: (Certification Required)
  • Contribute to clinic efficiency: Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.
