About The Position
A King LASIK / K2 Vision Technician is an eye care professional who assists in assessing and counseling pre-operative and post-operative patients for laser vision correction and refractive lens exchange, under the supervision of an Optometrist and Ophthalmologist. This role requires a high level of accuracy, professionalism, and patient-focused care.
Requirements
- Previous eye care experience is an asset
- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
- Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment and manage personal stress
- Team-oriented with willingness to learn and coach others
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software (MS Office experience helpful)
- Patience, approachability, and calm demeanor
- Ability to manage patient expectations and concerns
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a surgical technician
- Experience performing refractions
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as: IOL Master, OCT, and Pentacam
- Refraction and related testing
Responsibilities
- Provide superior customer service and patient care
- Perform diagnostic testing and ensure quality and accuracy of all charting
- Use appointment and patient management software and patient charts to document eye health clearly and accurately
- Provide counseling and education regarding procedures and available technology
- Support technician duties related to laser vision correction and refractive lens exchange
- Promote King LASIK / K2 Vision technology appropriately and professionally
