About The Position
Aspire Rural Health System is hiring a Ophthalmic Technician. We’re looking for individuals with a positive attitude to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering the highest quality of service to both our patients and employees.
Requirements
- High School education or equivalent.
- BLS certification required; Must obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Great attitude and engages patients with a smile.
Nice To Haves
- CMA, RMA, COA, COT, or another equivalent professional certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Obtain patient’s chief complaint, present illness, and medical history as well as vision acuity and refractions.
- Perform various ophthalmic diagnostic tests as required by the physician including visual fields, OCT, Pentacam, IOL Master, iTrace, Optos fundus, and angiography.
- Manage patient data using the electronic medical record system.
