About The Position

Our established multi-specialty Ophthalmology group is seeking a skilled professional Ophthalmic Technician to join our friendly and dedicated team. If you're passionate about providing exceptional patient care and eager to grow in a supportive environment, we want to hear from you! This position requires local travel, with mileage reimbursement provided for personal vehicle use. The role involves working closely with ophthalmologists to gather patient information, conduct preliminary examinations and advanced diagnostics, assist in minor surgeries and laser procedures, manage patient flow, administer eye drops (certification required), and perform clinical and administrative tasks to ensure a smooth workflow.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures.
  • Ability to perform indirect activities, administrative tasks and any other assigned duties that contribute to the efficient & high-quality performance of the medical practice.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A passion for patient care and a commitment to excellence.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
  • Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.
  • Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
  • Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
  • Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
  • Administer eye drops (Certification Required).
  • Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.
