About The Position

The Ophthalmic Technician is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clinical functions to include scheduling and greeting patients; scheduling surgeries; performing diagnostic and eye function tests including clinical optics, ocular motility, visual fields, keratometry, topography, A –Scans, and Schirmer test; assisting with office surgical procedures; administering topical medications or diagnostic drugs as required by the ophthalmologist for testing or treatment. Record accurate charting and other office procedures. Assist ophthalmologist and/or optometrist with office patient procedures.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience
  • Optos Experience
  • BLS (AHA and ARC)
  • Flu Vaccinated (no exemptions/no declinations)

Nice To Haves

  • Graduation from an accredited program for Ophthalmic Techs
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant
