2020 On-site is the leader in mobile vision care, providing eye care to over 75,000 patients at their workplaces, schools, and neighborhoods since 2014. In May 2020, they expanded services to include clinical trial assessments and tests using uniquely equipped Mobile Clinics. Their focus is on "radical patient-centricity," prioritizing the patient experience and minimizing barriers. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Life Sciences and is a new opportunity for an Ophthalmic Technician to start their career at a unique startup in eye health. The position is patient-facing and involved in the execution of national, specialty life science projects onboard the mobile eye clinic. The ideal candidate is an organized, motivated, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, makes connections with patients via phone or email, and manages operational processes for life science projects. Empathetic and caring patient interaction is crucial as the first point of contact. This position requires 100% travel.

Requirements

  • Experience with patients in a clinic setting

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Paraoptometric or Ophthalmic Technician (not a requirement)
  • Ophthalmic testing/experience
  • Experience in an optometry or ophthalmology setting

Responsibilities

  • Interface with patients to perform Ophthalmic testing utilizing cutting-edge equipment and technology to accurately assess vision, eye pressure, retinal imaging and more
  • Drive our mobile clinic throughout different states where patients need access to care. (Commercial driver’s license is not necessary).
  • Obtain and maintain necessary certifications for operating equipment onboard the mobile eye clinic
  • Build reports and transmit data precisely, as instructed per each clinical protocol
  • Communicate with patients and update them with pertinent information for their visit
  • Enter data and transmit information to sponsors, PIs, and reading centers
  • Ensure data is accurate, timely, and acceptable upon submission
  • Travel 100% of the time
