About The Position

Our established multi-specialty Ophthalmology group is seeking a skilled professional to join our friendly and dedicated team. If you're passionate about providing exceptional patient care and eager to grow in a supportive environment, we want to hear from you! This role involves working closely with ophthalmologists to gather patient information, conduct preliminary examinations, perform diagnostic tests, assist in minor surgeries and laser procedures, manage patient flow, and perform clinical and administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A passion for patient care and a commitment to excellence.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
  • Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.
  • Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
  • Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
  • Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
  • Administer eye drops (Certification Required).
  • Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.
  • Perform indirect activities, administrative tasks and any other assigned duties that contribute to the efficient & high-quality performance of the medical practice.
