About The Position

Austin Retina Associates is seeking a driven, compassionate individual to join their team as an Ophthalmic Technician. This role is an excellent entry point into the medical field, with comprehensive training provided for individuals who are dependable, eager to learn, and passionate about helping others. The position involves working alongside physicians to deliver exceptional retina care, gathering medical histories, performing vision testing and imaging, preparing exam rooms, documenting clinical notes, and supporting physicians during treatments and procedures. Some travel between clinics may be required, along with occasional early mornings or later hours, with shared driving responsibilities. Requirements

  • Valid Texas driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to travel between clinics
  • Ability to work occasional early mornings or later hours
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and lift to 25 pounds on occasion
  • Ability to view multiple computer screens, close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities

  • Assist and guide patients through their visit during triage.
