Requirements

Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
Knowledge of medical office procedures.
Ability to perform indirect activities, administrative tasks and any other assigned duties that contribute to the efficient & high-quality performance of the medical practice.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Spanish speaking is REQUIRED.

Nice To Haves

Tech and Scribe experience preferred.
Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) Certification.

Responsibilities

Work closely with ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity and pupillary responses.
Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
Administer eye drops.
Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.
