About The Position

Our established multi-specialty Ophthalmology group is seeking a skilled professional to join our friendly and dedicated team. This role involves elevating patient care by working closely with ophthalmologists, mastering ophthalmic testing, performing advanced diagnostics, assisting in surgical procedures, streamlining patient flow, administering eye drops (certification required), and contributing to clinic efficiency through clinical and administrative tasks.

• Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures.
• Ability to perform indirect activities, administrative tasks and any other assigned duties that contribute to the efficient & high-quality performance of the medical practice.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
• Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.
• Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
• Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
• Administer eye drops (Certification Required).
• Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.
