About The Position
Performs comprehensive ophthalmic assessments on ocular patients and conducts diagnostic tests as indicated or requested by the ophthalmologist. Works autonomously as part of an integrated ophthalmic support services team. Educates patients about the treatment of ocular conditions and preventative care.
Requirements
- High school education or GED.
- Two years of experience as an ophthalmic assistant.
- Technical and diagnostic skills to perform a comprehensive ophthalmic assessment.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective keyboarding skills.
- COA certification required.
Nice To Haves
- COT or COMT certification preferred.
