About The Position

Stanford Healthcare is seeking an Ophthalmic Sonographer to work in their eye clinic in Palo Alto. The sonographer will use an ultrasound probe and waves to use on the eye to look inside the organ of the eye to see tumors, foreign bodies, cancer, etc. to determine what is going on inside the organ of the eye. Look at the eye, determine where the optic nerve is and anchor from there when looking at all points of the eye.

Requirements

  • Recent working experience as a sonographer specializing in ophthalmic sonography.
  • ARDMS certification.
  • BLS certification by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

  • Use an ultrasound probe and waves on the eye to examine the interior of the eye.
  • Identify tumors, foreign bodies, cancer, and other conditions within the eye.
  • Determine the location of the optic nerve and use it as an anchor point for examinations.
  • Perform ophthalmic sonography.
