About The Position

We are looking for dedicated Ophthalmic Scribes for our rapidly growing practice! No experience necessary – Willing to train the right person! The role of an Ophthalmic Scribe will increase the efficiency and productivity of the physician in the clinic setting. The scribe must be able to anticipate physician needs, communicate clearly to patients and staff members, and effectively multi-task in order to facilitate clinic flow. Due to the nature of the business, this position will be required to travel to multiple locations, based on clinic needs.

Requirements

Basic understanding of Medical Terminology (preferably ophthalmology)
Must be proficient using desktop applications and be able to type at 40 WPM or greater
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Comply with HIPPA confidentiality standards when accessing or communicating patient information
Must take and clear a pre-employment drug screen upon job offer.

Nice To Haves

Minimum one year of experience in a medical practice or hospital setting
Experience in an ophthalmology practice
COA/COT certification
