Requirements

High school diploma required
Experience in a professional, customer-focused environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Empathy and concern for patient needs
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Computer literacy and willingness to learn new systems

Responsibilities

Greet new patients and explain office procedures
Inform patients about tests and how they may be affected
Collect detailed patient history (chief complaint, medical, ocular, family, allergies, medications)
Perform accurate documentation and assist with clinical measurements, including: Visual acuity and manual lensometry, Visual fields, stereo testing, and motility evaluation, Pupillary function tests, color vision, and applanation tonometry, Refractometry, dilation of pupils, and contact lens evaluations, Imaging and diagnostics (OCT, HRT, GDx, pachymetry, corneal topography)
Support physicians with additional tasks as needed
