About The Position

The Ophthalmic Photographer performs ophthalmic photography and measurements for clinical and research protocols in the department of Ophthalmology. The majority of the photographer's time is spent in direct patient care using cameras, ultrasound and other ophthalmic equipment. Other duties include documenting test results to maintain photographic records for patient care and teaching, developing film, and instructing residents and visiting clinicians in photographic techniques.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two years photography experience or a degree in photography.
  • Computer skills are required.
  • Knowledge of ocular anatomy and physiology and ophthalmic photographic techniques or acquire these skills through on-the-job training.

Nice To Haves

  • Ophthalmic photography experience preferred.
  • CRA, COA, or COT licensure preferred.
