Requirements

High School Diploma
At least one year of relevant experience, more experience preferred.
COA-Certified Ophthalmic Assistant Certification by JCAHPO (Joint Commission of Accredited Health Professionals in Ophthalmology) may be required. See job requisition for position certification requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform ophthalmic diagnostic imaging including fundus photography, OCT, OCT-A, fluorescein angiography, external photography, corneal topography/tomography, and other specialty imaging as needed.
Prepare patients for imaging procedures and provide clear instructions to ensure high-quality diagnostic results.
Review images for accuracy and quality, ensuring studies are appropriately labeled and uploaded into the electronic medical record.
Collaborate with providers and care teams to ensure imaging is completed efficiently and aligned with patient care needs.
Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment while supporting quality control standards.
Assist with imaging workflow education and training for clinical staff as appropriate.
Support documentation, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical research activities when needed.
Contribute to a fast-paced, highly specialized clinical environment focused on teamwork, patient safety, innovation, and continuous learning.
